| Open space is characterized by limits that serve quest. Such constraints are well-made boundaries. Closed space is characterized by limits that obstruct quest. Such confines are badly-made boundaries. Human social systems exist on a continuum between closed space and open space. Freeorder is an open network dependent upon and emergent from well-made boundaries. As the emergence of freeorder progresses the ratio between open and closed spaces increases. The sum of movements from closed space to open space constitutes the emergence of freeorder. The emergence of freeorder occurs within many interrelated spaces through complementary changes. The Explorers Foundation tracks and presents evidence of the emergence of freeorder. We encourage and support ventures to accelerate it. |
