Each of our investments is made to provide grounds for discussion of an aspect of the emergence of Freeorder.
V
Definitions of freeorder
*
What’s good for explorers within each of us and among us.
*
A balance among designed and spontaneous orders that serves quest, venture, and error correction.
*
The idea of freeorder is simple. It does not require a complete exposition of all aspects of liberty, art, and learning to make the word useful. The world is rich with scholars and institutions devoted to every necessary aspect of freeorder. What has been missing is a concept to integrate them. The word freeorder provides that integration. Each investment made by an integrating forge (∮forge) should have a paragraph that explains how, from the point of view of that forge, the investment contributes to the emergence of freeorder.
*
All the vortices among all the forges in the world sum, by more than addition, to a worldwide university of freeorder, entirely without central direction. Each forge is a managed enterprise, its own micro-freeorder, not a democracy. The result of the work of many ventures in freeorder is itself a freeorder, a spontaneous order that, much like a market, emerges from a complex of discovery processes and consequent trial, error, and new conjecture.

What guides our investment philosophy: The vision and concept of quest serving balances among designed and spontaneous orders within individuals and cultures. We call such balances freeorder and are intent on generating an emergent culture we call Freeorder.
What we look for in people with whom we invest: Passionate and durable interest in something contributory to the emergence of Freeorder, in every case requiring curiosity, wonder, imagination, bold conjecture, critical thinking, and energy.
If the Emergence of Freeorder is seen as a multi-faceted crystal, then each of our investments relates to one or more of its faces.
Our pattern of investments is intended to evoke curiosity about that crystal.
We are interested in your ideas. If you would like discuss our investment program please contact us.
We are a 501(c)(3).
